Professional business mentors plays a vital role in driving business growth. From owners of SMEs, to leaders of global corporations, mentoring is proven to support businesses through the highs and lows of daily business life. As a professional business mentor, you will have run or had a senior role in a business yourself, providing you with the business experience to mentor others.

To support mentors at the start of their professional business mentoring journey, the Association of Business Mentors (ABM) has developed a unique interactive workshop that will help you gain the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to effectively mentor people within a business environment and context.

The workshop has been used by Government programmes in the past and is delivered by the award-winning Agile Group.

  • Know what it takes to be an effective business mentor
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of effective mentors
  • Understand the ethics and boundaries of mentoring
  • Explore the role of the mentee
  • Obtain an ILM-recognised credential ABM Introduction in Business Mentoring
What does the programme consist of?
  • 1 x two hour zoom or in person workshop*
  • Pre-workshop course work to maximise learning
  • Post workshop reading to keep your learning journey going
  • Detailed questionnaire to highlight your key values
  • Self-Realisation questionnaire to discover your learning style, what works best for you, where you learn least and your barriers to learning.

* The workshop can be delivered in groups of up to 20.

What happens after I complete the programme?
