ABM Ambassador - Central
Mark is a coach, mentor and facilitator that predominantly supports the creative and digital industries sectors in North Nottinghamshire. With a skill set that allows a person-centred, holistic approach to digital marketing and business growth, he also utilises his qualifications in mental health and counselling to assist individuals in the same communities find and access mental health support.
Specialising in working with businesses and entrepreneurs that are outside the 'normal' business world, Mark provides a different approach to the ‘suit and tie’ bank-based business support. With a background in education and the entertainment industry, he looks at bringing services out of the boardrooms and corporate offices and into the creative community.
Understanding that unique people need unique approaches, Mark incorporates mindfulness exercises and personal development strategies, alongside business growth and digital marketing support. He is a coach and mentor that celebrates the fact we don't all fit into traditional boxes and values the years artists spend developing their artistic skills and crafts.
Most recently, Mark has implemented these values during a project supporting entrepreneurs that have previously been incarcerated. During Project ReMake, he facilitated the creation of business plans to help ex-offenders develop their passions and build their own businesses.
Mark’s other qualifications include being the project lead for the European Mentoring and Coaching Council’s ‘Build Your Business’, a series of workshops to help coaches. Here he is also a Peer Mentor, where he advises members on their professional development goals. Additionally, he is part of the ABMs special projects team, focusing on governance strategies and National Mentoring Day.
As one of the Ambassadors for the Central Region, Mark wants to develop a support network of members, with the aim of promoting best practice and mutual growth and development.
