About this event

Join us at the next masterclass funded by the Help to Grow: Management Course and designed to equip mentors to deliver volunteer mentoring.

Funded by the Help to Grow: Management Course and designed to strengthen mentors’ confidence in navigating investment-related discussions, the next masterclass is: Investment Readiness – Guiding Mentees Through Funding Decisions.

This masterclass will equip mentors with the insight and practical frameworks needed to support mentees as they consider investment across different stages of business growth. It focuses on helping mentors understand when external funding can accelerate progress – and when it may introduce unnecessary risk or harm.

You will explore the mentee investment journey from early-stage ideas through to scaling businesses, gaining clarity on how funding decisions intersect with strategy, capability, and long-term business health. The session will also address the mentor’s role in investment conversations, ensuring mentors can guide thoughtfully and responsibly without needing to be investors themselves.

No prior investment experience is required. This masterclass provides practical tools, structured questions, and real-world perspectives that can be applied immediately in mentoring conversations.

Book now to reserve your place, where we will cover:

  • Understanding the mentee investment journey across different business stages

  • The investor mindset and how it differs from the founder perspective
  • Funding options available at different stages of business development
  • The mentor’s role in investment-related conversations

About the presenter
Anna brings over 14 years of hands-on experience supporting businesses before, during, and after investment. Her work spans venture and innovation ecosystems, accelerators, investment groups, and operating businesses across multiple stages – from idea and MVP through to SMEs and scaling companies. She has extensive experience supporting founders and mentors through complex funding decisions, particularly during periods of disruption, transition, or loss of ecosystem support. Her approach is practical, mentor-aligned, and focused on informed decision-making, readiness, and long-term business health – not fundraising as an end goal.
