Bio
I am an executive coach and mentor working with senior leaders, founders and directors navigating growth, complexity and transition. I support leaders to think clearly, lead well and build sustainable performance, while staying conscious of the human impact of their decisions.
Alongside my coaching and mentoring practice, I have run my own HR consultancy for the past three years and come from a family of small business owners. This gives me a practical, lived understanding of the commercial pressures, risk and day-to-day decision-making founders and leaders face. I bring over 15 years’ experience in HR and organisational development, working across founder-led SMEs, charities, multi-academy trusts, and government-funded and regulated environments. This background means I understand both what it takes to run a business and the behavioural dynamics that shape leadership, culture and performance.
My approach is blended, context-led and practical. I primarily work from a non-directive coaching stance, using reflective questioning to build self-awareness, challenge assumptions and support leaders to generate their own insight. Where appropriate, I integrate mentoring, particularly with leaders stepping into new roles, scaling quickly, or developing people leadership capability. I am explicit about when I am coaching and when I am mentoring, maintaining clarity of purpose and ethical boundaries.
I believe strongly in keeping things simple. Senior leaders already operate in complex systems, so my role is to create clarity rather than add noise. I regularly use psychological and behavioural profiling tools, including DISC, to help leaders and teams better understand how they communicate, make decisions and work together. Used well, these tools support healthier dynamics, reduce friction and enable more intentional culture-building.
My work is informed by executive coaching models, adult learning theory and reflective practice, alongside extensive real-world experience of governance, restructuring, organisational change and people risk. I work in line with the EMCC Global Code of Ethics and ABM standards, with a strong focus on clear contracting, confidentiality, supervision and ongoing professional development.
Clients often describe my style as calm, practical and insightful. Outcomes typically include greater confidence in decision-making, clearer leadership boundaries, improved emotional regulation, stronger team relationships and tangible shifts in culture and performance.
