About Memcom

About the Memcom and ABM partnership

Memcom and the Association of Business Mentors are collaborating to strengthen leadership and professional development across the membership sector community through the power of professional business mentoring.

Research continues to highlight the value of mentoring in business leadership, with many senior leaders reporting that mentoring positively impacts business performance, growth and personal wellbeing. As part of the collaboration Memcom members can work with ABM mentors, membership and training to support their teams and leadership skills and development.

Supporting personal and team development and growth

ABM members (at Member and Fellow level) can offer support on a 1-2-1 level at a discounted rate of six sessions for the investment of four. An initial “chemistry call”, for mentor and mentee to determine if this is the right relationship for them, is complimentary.

ABM members determine their own fees. Following the initial six sessions, should the relationship continue, any future investment offer would be determined by the mentor and the mentee.

ABM also supports mentoring and coaching programmes within the workplace. Memcom members would have a 10% discount on all ABM workplace services.

“Become a mentor” pathway

Professional mentoring skills can support individuals not just in their current roles to support the businesses they work in but are also a big opportunity for membership leaders who are seeking out NED and portfolio careers as they head into the next phase of their careers.

The ABM delivers a structured portfolio of professional mentoring development programmes, ranging from introductory online learning through to advanced ILM-accredited qualifications at Levels 5 and 7.

All programmes are aligned to ABM’s professional standards and combine practical tools, live workshops, reflective practice and supervised mentoring where applicable. Programmes are designed to build real-world mentoring capability while strengthening commercial awareness and professional credibility.

Memcom members would benefit from:

  • 15% discount on ABM foundation and ILM assured programmes
  • £150 preferred partner reduction on ILM Level 5 and Level 7 qualifications

ABM can also design and deliver tailored mentoring development programmes aligned to MemCom’s membership specific organisational or sector requirements.
