About this event

Workplace mentoring and coaching are no longer “nice to have” initiatives. When embedded properly, they strengthen leadership, improve conversations, support employee development and create measurable business confidence.

That is why ABM has launched the Workplace Mentoring & Coaching Accreditation: an independent assessment that helps organisations understand how effectively mentoring and coaching are embedded into the way they lead, manage and develop their people.

This member Q&A webinar will introduce the accreditation, explain how the process works, and explore how ABM members can get involved as mentors supporting organisations through the journey.

We will be joined by Pete Wortley, ABM’s Workplace Mentoring & Coaching Advisor, who developed the accreditation model, and Justine Upton, ABM member and mentor, who worked with Team Factors and Apollo Business Finance, the first group organisation to complete the accreditation.

Their case study shows what is possible when mentoring becomes part of how a business leads. Team Factors and Apollo Business Finance achieved ABM accreditation as having an ‘Established coaching and mentoring culture’, demonstrating how structured mentoring can support stronger leadership, better conversations, improved accountability and sustainable growth.

For ABM members, this is also a commercial opportunity. As more organisations look to assess, strengthen and evidence their mentoring and coaching culture, there will be a growing need for credible, professional mentors who can support them through that journey.

What we’ll cover

  • What the Workplace Mentoring & Coaching Accreditation is: and why ABM has launched it
  • How the accreditation process works: including the framework, diagnostic and assessment areas
  • What the first case study tells us: from Team Factors and Apollo Business Finance
  • The role of ABM members: and how mentors can support organisations going through accreditation
  • Commercial opportunities: how this could open new conversations with organisations investing in mentoring and coaching
  • Live Q&A: your chance to ask Pete and Justine about the process, the opportunity and next steps
