About this event

Are you considering joining the Association of Business Mentors?

This live online Q&A session is designed for mentors and coaches who want to understand how ABM membership can support their credibility, professional development, visibility and growth.

Professional business mentoring is playing an increasingly important role in helping UK businesses grow, adapt and thrive. ABM research found that 65% of business leaders said mentoring helped them directly increase revenue, while 64% said it helped increase profits.

The impact is not only commercial – 63% of business leaders said mentoring had supported headcount growth, while 72% said it improved their work-life balance, mental health and confidence.

For mentors, the opportunity is clear. Businesses need experienced, trusted professionals who can help leaders navigate growth, make better decisions and build long-term confidence. Yet the research also found that 34% of business leaders said finding someone with professional mentoring experience or qualifications was the main barrier to finding a mentor.

That is why the ABM exists with our ‘Find a mentor’ directory and trusted professional standards, credibility and community matter.

In this session, Brenda Etchells, Membership Advisor, and Clare-Marie Taylor, Marketing Advisor, will explain:

🔹The ABM’s mission, vision and role in professionalising business mentoring

🔹The membership pathways available to new members

🔹The benefits of joining the ABM, from credibility and CPD to community and visibility

🔹How membership can support you to grow your practice and strengthen your impact

You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions directly to a current member, Gemma who has recently become an Affiliate member of the ABM and is now actively involved in developing our workplace mentoring proposition.

Whether you are an experienced business mentor, a coach moving into mentoring, or exploring how to formalise your practice, this session will give you a clear, practical introduction to the ABM.

Join us and discover how ABM membership can help you build credibility, connection and impact.

If you’re unable to attend but would still like to ask a question, please email enquiries@theabm.org.
