Bio
For over 30 years, I’ve led businesses at every scale—from global organisations with 1,000+ employees to start-ups and SMEs where every pound matters.
After a successful corporate career, I chose to focus my time, expertise, and investment on entrepreneurs and small business owners. Why? Because business isn’t “all the same.” The challenges, opportunities, and decisions facing a founder or micro-business owner are fundamentally different—and deserve tailored support.
My mentoring journey began long before the boardroom, starting in sport and outdoor education, progressing through high-tech industries, and ultimately into senior business leadership. For the past 15 years, I’ve worked directly with business owners and boards, helping leaders navigate growth, improve performance, and achieve their ambitions.
I believe effective mentoring comes from experience, not theory. That’s why I’ve continually combined coaching with hands-on leadership roles, ensuring my advice is grounded in real-world challenges and practical solutions. Alongside this experience, I hold an MBA from Henley Business School and an ILM Level 7 qualification in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.
I am also a mentor on the UK Government’s Help to Grow programme, a Fellow and Non-Executive Director with the Association of Business Mentors, and an active leader within the UK Scouting Association and Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
My values are simple: help people succeed, create lasting impact, and leave things better than I found them.
