I’m Nicky Dunn, founder of Aspire Career and Business Coaching, and I support owner-led businesses to grow with clarity, stronger systems and confident leadership. I’m a senior business and operations professional with over 25 years’ experience building, growing and sustaining businesses, with a strong track record in business development and trusted relationships.

My background includes founding a recruitment business from scratch and growing it to £1.3m turnover within five years, before selling it and moving into broader leadership, operations and coaching work. I’ve held senior roles across operations, business development and consultancy, including Operations Director at Mego Employment, Business Development Director with Sampson Hall and Motiv-8SW, and Associate Director at Secure Source (cyber security headhunting). I’ve also founded and run Pi Society, a relationship-led matchmaking and events business, which deepened my strengths in understanding people, behaviour, communication and decision-making.

I’m known for a practical, people-focused approach, sound judgement and consistent delivery, helping leaders step back from the overwhelm and focus on what will make the biggest difference next. Alongside private coaching, I work with the Help to Grow programme mentoring small business owners and leaders, and I also support confidence and growth through structured mentoring roles.
